There are times when being a Windows user you will face a problem or a few on a daily basis. One such issue is the printer driver disappearing from your computer. Many users have reported online that their printer driver keeps disappearing from the computer. The issue is not just with one Windows 0S but with several, so it seems like a universal Windows problem.
On this page, let us look into the causes for the printer driver to disappear from your computer and the solution to solve the problem in no time.
(Note: Solutions given here are for HP Printers. These are also applicable for other printers)
There are two alternative methods that can permanently address the issue.
The problem can be caused by a program the printer would have installed while the driver was installed. For example, let's take a look at HP printers.
For HP printers, the program would be named HP CUE DeviceDiscovery Service. This service is mainly in charge of finding the HP device connected to the computer. There are some rare cases that the program just fails to do its job. The only solution is to simply disable the service.
First, try restarting your computer, printer and wireless router. To check if your printer is connected to your network: Print a Wireless Network Test report from the printer control panel. On many printers pressing the Wireless button allows direct access to printing this report.
The other most probable reason for the printing error is the connection between your computer and the printer. If you are sure that the transmission cable is working okay (tested the printer on another computer), then the problem might be the drivers. This can be the printer drivers or the USB port drivers.
Another common fail is over extrusion. Over extrusion happens when your 3D printer pushes out too much plastic too fast, causing a jam in the end of the nozzle. ... Make sure YOURu layer height is less than your nozzle diameter. Increase your cooling fan's power (this will cool the plastic and cause it to slow down)
WPS stands for Wi-Fi Protected Setup. It is a wireless network security standard that tries to make connections between a router and wireless devices faster and easier. WPS works only for wireless networks that use a password that is encrypted with the WPA Personal or WPA2 Personal security protocols.
To restore your HP printer to factory-default settings, follow these steps. Turn the product off. Disconnect the power cable from the product for 30 seconds and then reconnect. Turn the product on while you press and hold the Resume button for 10-20 seconds. The Attention light turns on. Release the Resume button.
